KPA ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCT TO COMPLY WITH DOT HAZMAT TRANSPORTATION
What’s new is that this product is now available as a stand alone service to facilities that don’t need such a comprehensive EHS program.
KPA’s DOT and MSDS service provides everything required by the DOT hazmat rules (49 CFR 172, Subpart H) including training, certification, a 24-hour hotline, and an on-demand Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) database with over 50,000 substances relevant for dealers, collision centers, and other automotive service companies.
Lafayette, CO (KPA, November 1, 2010) –Because of heightened security concerns and recent hazmat transportation incidents, hazardous materials shipments have come under more scrutiny by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) ,and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) than ever before. Shipp ers and carriers have to demonstrate their compliance with all regulations, and regulators frequently review hazardous materials shipments.

SPEAKER DESIGNEE MCNULTY NEW JBC MEMBER AND SPEAKER PRO TEM
Speaker Designee Frank McNulty, R-Highlands Ranch, today named Rep. Cheri Gerou, R-Evergreen, as Vice Chair of the Joint Budget Committee. Along with Gerou, Rep. Elect Jon J. Becker, R-Fort Morgan, will serve on the JBC.
As a small business owner and entrepreneur who has valuable experience managing government budgets as a County Commissioner, McNulty says that Rep. Elect Becker will bring common sense and real a world understanding of budgets and organizational structure to the JBC.
“Rep. Elect Jon Becker will be a budget hawk and will fight to help us prioritize spending and protect those services people care about most,” McNulty said. “My appointment of Rep. Elect Becker to the JBC is a strong signal to Colorado that, for Republicans, it's no longer business as usual at the state Capitol.”
Becker joins Rep. Gerou who is already recognized as a guardian of taxpayer dollars in the JBC.
Serving as Speaker Pro Tem will be Rep. Kevin Priola, R-Henderson.
“Democrats, Republicans, and independent voters in Adams County have consistently responded to Kevin in an overwhelmingly positive way,” McNulty added. “As a member of our new House Republican leadership and as a small businessman himself, Rep. Priola will help us reach out to those working families, small businesses and communities that have been hit hard during these tough economic times.”
