Date:

Thursday June 23, 2011

Time:

Background checking reduces your risk of negligent hiring lawsuits and significantly improves your chances of choosing the right person for the job. However, the increased use of the internet for information on applicants, the popularity of database searching plus new and proposed legislation at the state and federal level make using background checking a minefield of legal issues. In this webinar you will learn:

  • The pros and cons of database and online search methods
  • Why references are so important and how to get accurate information
  • How to stay in compliance with the law, including new and proposed legislation on the use of credit checks and criminal history reports
  • What questions you should be asking your background checking provider
