Excerpt from the
Colorado Statesman article, "Poli -Sigh" by Susan Tannenbaum (January
12th): * * * * * * * Excerpt from the Colorado Statesman dated January 12, 2007: House Democrats (and Senate GOP) scored the best locale with a mansion on the corner of Speer & Grant, aka the home of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA). This magnificent building featured an upstairs/downstairs set-up where legislators, staffers and lobbyists could mix and mingle; valet parking; two separate bars; a catering kitchen; and lots of guests which is what we’d expect from the party in power.
Tim Jackson
from the Automobile Dealers told folks that he wanted this to be the best

Try to attend this valuable seminar: Myers & Fuller’s “State of the Industry” Seminar
In reviewing events at the upcoming NADA Convention in Las Vegas, dealers should note that one of the leading national experts on motor vehicle franchise issues, Myers and Fuller, is presenting a highly informative dealer-session at the upcoming convention.
Richard Sox and his partner Shawn Mercer will discuss the latest factory initiatives and recommendations on ways dealers can protect themselves both legally and legislatively from those initiatives. Topics will include consolidation by Ford and General Motors, the impact of the sale of a line-make by the manufacturer, the spin-off of line-makes by General Motors and Ford, imaging and facility programs, as well as incentive programs by import and domestic manufacturers. In addition to dealer-factory issues, discussion will also include the latest F & I compliance issues facing dealers and the impact of class action suits on dealer practices.
CADA
staff plan to attend the seminar and encourage Colorado dealers to attend
as well. To accommodate busy NADA schedules, Myers & Fuller will conduct
the seminar at two different times on Saturday, February 3, 2007. If you
have any questions, please feel free to contact Richard Sox directly at
(850) 878-6404 or rsox@dealerlawyer.com.
